My name is Ankit Patel, a passionate full-stack developer, and eCommerce expert from Norwich, United Kingdom. My career in the web development industry began more than a decade ago. Since then, I've been on a delightful ride, witnessing and adapting to the rapid changes in technology. Over the years, I've honed my skills in both frontend, backend, and eCommerce development.
My work currently consists of being a full-stack developer at a company named Pivotal & managing side projects. This balancing act is allowing me to be resourceful in terms of my learning as a full-stack developer as well as encouraging me to adopt the latest developer tools, libraries, frameworks, etc.
My web development roots are in Magento & WordPress. In 2009, I started working at a company called Client Driven Infotech (CDI) as a junior PHP / Magento developer which broadened my knowledge about the best eCommerce framework (Magento) and PHP ecosystem. Since then, I fell in love with frontend and backend technologies with Magento, WordPress, Laravel, and other PHP frameworks. I was introduced to NodeJS and its frameworks in 2018 and surprised by its capabilities which attracted me further to dive deeper into it to work as a full-stack developer.
E-commerce Specialist
I earned a Magento certificate in 2016 which was about Magento 1.x. also passed another certification exam in 2023 and became a certified Adobe Commerce Professional Developer (Magento 2.x) which highlights my expertise in the e-commerce domain. Over the years, I've successfully delivered many e-commerce projects, helping businesses succeed and expand their online presence by creating fresh or customizing their online stores.
Frontend and Backend Expertise
Throughout my career, I took opportunities to work as a backend and front-end developer. I became a certified VueJS developer in 2023. Using VueJS I built many applications with attractive and reactive user interface applications. I have used VueJS with Laravel and WordPress to create full/partial frontend interfaces with powerful state management libraries such as Pinia and Vuex. Using Laravel I also created many custom applications to integrate third-party libraries such as LinnWorks, ClickUp, Codat, and many others to fetch, process, store, and send data using APIs as per project requirements.
